FIRST AUSSIE LAW FIRM TO WIN PINK TICK
Adelaide law firm Lawson Smith Lawyers has become the first law firm in Australia to be officially accredited as “female friendly”.
Partner Anna Williamson said that the firm was proud to have gained “Pink Tick” accreditation from Female Friendly Pty Ltd, the organisation dedicated to enabling businesses to better connect with women.
“We deal with female clients every day and we are delighted to have received this recognition that our firm is approachable by women and is responsive to the needs of female clients. We work closely with women in a range of organisations and we understand how influential women are in making business decisions,”, Ms Williamson said.
Lawyer Candida D’Arcy said “Lawson Smith Lawyers offers respect not only to all the women that we deal with but also to the women within the firm. Our boutique size means that we have more flexibility in many areas, including the way that we deal with clients and with our own working arrangements”.
Managing partner Richard Smith said that the firm was supportive of its female clients and lawyers. “I hope that this accreditation will consolidate our position as a firm that women are comfortable to work with, and lead to us enlarging our female client base”, Mr Smith said.
